Whisk ideas into images

Introducing Whisk: Prompt Less, Play More | Google Labs

Google Whisk is a new AI image generator that uses image prompts, with the option to add text prompts. It’s free, super easy to use, and fun. Here’s an explainer video. And you can try the app here: https://labs.google/fx/tools/whisk.

With Whisk, you can create:

  • Personalized holiday cards using a family photo as the subject—e.g., transform it into a winter scene oil painting or anime-style illustration.

  • Images for mood or vision boards, such as yourself in a dapper suit or crossing a marathon finish line.

  • Inspiration or style guides for creative projects.

  • Kids can upload a pic of their favorite toy and create scenes they imagine.

I played around with it for a few minutes, and the image outputs are impressive. However, it often misspells text, even when I put the words in quotes or ask it to correct the spelling. See “Goocgle” below.

You may want to use Whisk to create image elements for designs and then add text in another graphics program like PowerPoint or Canva.

P.S. Sorry, Canadian and other international readers—Google has currently limited Whisk to U.S. users. Hopefully you’ll have access soon.
